To describe the problem correctly is to also describe the solution. The Gospel of Thomas, some of the earliest authenticated sayings of Jesus, states – “When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will know that you are the sons of the living Father.” In lesson 132 of the workbook it is restated as – “to know your Self is the salvation of the world.” The problem, the root problem, the fundamental problem is ignorance of Self. The problems of the world seem to be numerous and dire, yet here we have the answer, to know your Self.
A Course in Miracles insists we stop trying to change the world, to cease wasting effort trying to put out never-ending fires and direct all our energy towards realizing the problem of the world. The problem of a suffering humanity lies in ignorance; not knowing Who we are and the true nature of Mind. If the one underlying problem can be realized and seen for what it is we will also immediately recognize that it is not a real problem, or a real cause of suffering because it has been solved for us. You have remained as your Self all along and can awaken that awareness if you so choose, for in truth you have no problem.
To know Christ directly is to know your Self, your brother and your Source. It is to be the answer to the age-old existential dilemma in that humanity is not a condition of total joy, but a condition of futility and despair. It is sin and guilt in the mind projected outward that has given rise to a world of bodies seen as really there. To know your Self is to dispel the insane, punitive shrieks that rise up from a world of separation, suffering and loss. There is no other answer and this Course lays out a clear-cut path to undo that madness and banish its hold on the mind of God’s Son. Now is the time!

Singularly, as individuals and together, collectively we are committed to the singular goal of this Course and recognize its divine origin as the historical Jesus of Nazareth. We are elucidating the message and the means to complete its purpose and goal, which is direct contact with God, and to know our self as His only living Son and one with Him. This is an encounter, the undoing of the false self concept and the experience of truth that arises when obstacles are all laid by.
We are continually calling to you and to those in the world who would hear this message, to join in this holy endeavour of awakening. Overcoming the obstacles to joining your brother in the accelerated learning situation is part of the undoing of the entrenched ego mind. Joining in purpose, becoming of one mind, is the opposite of separation and separate needs.
There is no greater joy in this world than when healing of the mind occurs. Each miracle of forgiveness and joining resounds with joy in each of us and is felt around the endless universe of God’s loving Creation.

For God is merciful, and did not let His Son abandon Him. For what He is be thankful, for in that is your escape from madness and from death. Nowhere but where He is can you be found.
