This knowledge is our salvation from continuing dreams\, awakening the certainty of Spirit as the immortal nature of the One Self. \n\n\n\n\n“The body is a tiny fence around a little part of a glorious and complete idea.  It draws a circle\, infinitely small\, around a very little segment of Heaven\, splintered from the whole\, proclaiming that within it is your kingdom\, where God can enter not.” ACIM T.18.VIII.2 \n\n\n\n\nBeyond the body is the resurrection and the reality of immortal life. It is not found in anything that can be perceived\, or conceived of. Yet the reality of the Self that is not divided\, separated and bounded by a wall of flesh\, is your divine inheritance. It can be known by all who desire to go beyond the petty ways of the world of bodies\, limitations\, suffering and death. Now is the time of awakening as we seek to see the light beyond the body\, to reach out and experience the holy truth of this instant of release. For all those who would arise in Christ\, their lessons of forgiveness teach the mind directly about the mind. It has suffered for so long having identified with what can suffer\, the limited and ephemeral\, and with the world which upholds the laws of the body.  \n\n\n\nWhen asked by the Scribe of the Course about the resurrection\, Jesus answered\, “my body disappeared because I no longer held any illusions about it.” So\, for the individual aspirant\, the student of miracles\, it would be perfectly fair to state that the purpose of the plan of salvation is to relinquish the belief the body has any value or existence. In effect it takes great learning (“unlearning”) to understand and to accept the body’s nothingness. In this lesson lies the separation of our minds from the fundamental illusion on which the ego rests. It’s the lesson that removes the fear of redemption and clears the way to approach the innermost altar to holiness where the Father and the Son are one in perfect union with Creation. \n\n\n\n\n“The body is outside you\, and but seems to surround you\, shutting you off from others and keeping you apart from them\, and them from you. It is not there. There is no barrier between God and His Son\, nor can His Son be separated from Himself except in illusions. God’s peace is already ours yet is veiled behind false beliefs which are cherished in its place. Now is the time in which we determine\, through realisation\, understanding and acceptance\, that there is no peace to be found anywhere except we look within and lay down our defenses to the great peace that shines with perfect constancy within.  \nThe obstacles to the knowledge of God’s peace are all overcome in the same way. We learn to see the obstacles for what they are as guardians against the Truth.  A conscious decision can then be made to accept the Help we need to choose the conditions in which peace comes of itself because we have done nothing to keep it away. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Deny me not the little gift I ask\, when in exchange I lay before your feet the peace of God\, and power to bring this peace to everyone who wanders in the world uncertain\, lonely\, and in constant fear.“ACIM T.3.VIII.7 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPeace is the condition in which knowledge of God is remembered. Therefore this is a course in choosing peace\, choosing over and over in all temptations to feel upset\, to attack\, condemn or see oneself as attacked. Peace must be a total choice because the choice against peace has already been established in the mind and now we choose again. First we remove the cause of conflict and upset\, then the dream becomes free of upset. \nPeace and serenity\, along with power and holiness become the experience while the dream still seems to have reality. Finally the dream is transformed to reveal what lies beyond as illusions give way to truth. This is our journey without distance in our return to the holy state of oneness\, in which no illusions can appear that could be seen to stand before the light of Heaven and our eternal reality in God. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“You who are part of God are not at home except in His peace. SUMMARY:Salvation and the Death of Specialness
DESCRIPTION:A weekend group experience on the essential teachings\, principles and practice of A Course in Miracles\, in a joyfully focused healing sanctuary for awakening the awareness of the living Christ in you. \nWith Simon Christopher in Ealing\, West London. \nSaturday & Sunday\, August 30th & 31st – 10:00am to 5:30pm daily. \nThe special self is integral to the false condition of separation\, and from this idea of specialness with which each one identifies arises a world of differences\, justifying our need to hold ourselves apart.  This specialness is venerated and enjoyed because it is not seen as responsible for the dark and ancient enmity between one human and another\, all the cruelty\, conflict and condemnation. Each one forms a special self-identity as part and parcel of the dream of separation and it becomes the means to retain a distance and a gap\, all differences\, prejudices and arrogance. All but serve to keep us from recognising the innate and fundamental condition of reality in which we are one complete and equal part of an undivided Self. And so we maintain and reinforce our specialness\, our perceived differences that serve to keep us from joining with others. We may recoil in disgust\, arm to kill\, or conversely become hopelessly attracted to the specialness we see in them. \nThe specialness of the special self concept we made\, stands between reality and our awareness of the truth. And nothing could be more unacceptable to it than the perfect sameness of all humanity as one creation in which all are given everything equally by a loving and just Creator. The Holy Spirit sees each one as equally lovable\, equally whole and equally perfect. Equal and the same in holiness with all the attributes God gave to His Creation the same in each and everyone. Nothing could be more of a threat to the special self\, at one with the illusion of a world\, both parts of one illusion that there is a gap between what is a continuous\, contiguous\, indivisible\, whole and eternal. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“The special ones are all asleep\, surrounded by a world of loveliness they do not see. Freedom and peace and joy stand there\, beside the bier on which they sleep\, and call them to come forth and waken from their dream of death. Yet they hear nothing. They are lost in dreams of specialness… and they hate the call that would awaken them. “ ACIM T.24.III.7 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTrue forgiveness transforms the concept of the self that specialness condemns to differences\, comparisons\, competition and separation\, to loneliness\, pain and suffering. Forgiveness removes all beliefs\, definitions\, attributes and identities that would impose inequality between the Sons of God\, which mark them as unequal to all the rest. Miracles humble the arrogant and lift up the poor in spirit with recognition of their worthiness. Miracles make minds instantly one to join in an instant of joyful recognition of our common spiritual reality. Beyond the littleness of the special self cherished by the ego lies the grandeur of God and our eternal unity as One Self He created us to be.Holy Spirit offers a different purpose for the specialness we made of ourselves. In service to a function we did not make\, the holy function of healing and forgiveness\, our identity is released for truth to be revealed in the light of reality. Our joy lies not in differences and all the terrible aspects of war amongst unequals\, but in realising the Self we are lies in everyone and everything. DESCRIPTION:A weekend experience on the essential teachings\, principles and practice of A Course in Miracles\, in a joyfully focused healing sanctuary for awakening awareness of the light of Christ. With Simon Christopher in Ealing\, West London. \nSaturday & Sunday\, July 26th & 27th – 10:00am to 5:30pm daily. \nSpiritual sight is the means by which this spiritual mind-training programme aims to empower you in your determination to transcend the false identity with the body\, the ego and it’s insane thought system. It appears to the common experience that the Course is offering a truly radical teaching and method. This only reflects the degree to which the mind\, the consciousness has established itself in a totally false narrative\, a self-fabricated mental fiction\, which even by its own admission it struggles to comprehend and does not really understand. \nThe singularity of our curriculum presents the dilemma exactly as it is – the body’s eyes were made to look upon illusions and prove their seeming reality to be the truth. Consequently\, the reality of truth\, the universe of love\, the light of self knowledge and the Peace of God is blotted out and entirely forgotten in our dependence on the body and its meager faculties to direct our way. It is as if we have entered a dark room and in the darkness invent a reality of our own wanting\, establishing the means to “see” it and rest content that our wishes have been fulfilled. Yet\, accompanying this state is the terror of having rejected the very Source of our existence and the projected fear of retaliation which leads to all manner of neurotic behaviours\, mad careers and paranoid delusions. This Course in Miracles is simply asking you to question the basic foundation of your unquestioning faith in unreality and start the process of awakening from the fearful dream that seems to keep you trapped as a prisoner\, to live an instant and die in the matrix of the perceived\, objective world. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Son of God\, be not content with nothing! What is not real cannot be seen and has no value… Everything you made has never been\, and is invisible because the Holy Spirit does not see it. Yet what He does see is yours to behold\, and through His vision your perception is healed.“ ACIM T.12.VIII.6 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe begin with perception itself and the dynamics that uphold and perpetuate the projection of a body and a world as existing in our awareness as real. Very gently\, or perhaps more abruptly if you wish\, the tenacious grip on unreality is loosened and we learn to depend upon the sight that we share with God’s agency of healing and reconciliation. Spirit has vision beyond the limited range of the body’s eyes. In what it sees lies our awakening to another world that can be seen with a new and healed perception. It reflects the eternal even within the illusion of the ephemeral. The reality of the Self we seek is revealed as we give up our reliance on the body’s eyes and open our spiritual\, inner eye again to look upon the truth. What our forgiving eyes look upon brings experience that no dream\, idol\, person\, place or thing could ever bring. And we love this experience because we remember what it once was like before it became unremembered in our minds. \nThis Course offers a new way of seeing\, the means are given and the choice is made clear. Forgiveness opens up the way\, releasing the mind from the sentinels of darkness and welcomes the inner light to shine in quiet certainty to bless all living things. The question we are presented with over and over until it is no longer a question is this\, – do you wish to see or not? This is the choice in which lies hell or heaven\, damnation or salvation. The body’s eyes were made not to see\, only to condemn\, judge and interpret to the perceiver\, and what could be more unreliable\, false or blind?! Spiritual sight brings a vision that shows all things in the light of true forgiveness and perfect understanding. Miracles shine in our awareness as holy innocence is recognized in each one we look upon. Christ’s eyes replace our own and what He sees is one with Him\, for He sees Christ in every living thing and everywhere. The world\, the ego and our dreams have been left behind and now God’s peace and Heaven’s joy are no longer hidden by the veil of misery and pain. Let us give thanks we have been given so complete an alternative to what we thought we made. Let us be still in an instant of eternal holiness\, remembering we are one with Him Who is our Source. Yet God is the only Cause and the world is causeless in and of itself. The purpose of perception is to give a cause to effects and deny the true cause and effect relationship with the perceiver\, and mind as cause. The change of purpose the Holy Spirit brings takes the cause away from the mind’s effects and returns it to the mind\, which it has not left. And in this way power that was given away is returned to the maker who is no longer a victim\, suffering the seemingly arbitrary and chaotic effects without the mistake of giving cause to its own effects. \nForgiveness reverses the effect and cause relationship you have with the world you see\, in order that all the effects of fear are undone. The purpose of perception now is to transform the mind by reversing that effect and cause relationship and release the power given away to the phenomenal world of others and the “10\,000” objective things. \nAll healing and healing power lies in the understanding and application of the lesson as we accept God as our Cause and welcome back into the mind His creative power which is restored to our awareness. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“The Holy Spirit teaches one lesson\, and applies it to all individuals in all situations. Being conflict-free\, He maximizes all efforts and all results. By teaching the power of the Kingdom of God Himself\, He teaches you that all power is yours. Its application does not matter. It is always maximal. “ ACIM T.7.III.1 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe plan of the curriculum is a great reversal of perception\, restoring the correct cause and effect relationship. This returns the power to the mind where real change can occur. Forgiveness is only possible once each “problem” is brought back to its source in the mind. Now the Holy Spirit can help us by showing the alternative\, a healed perception that reflects the true Cause and Effect relationship of Creator and Creation. All healing comes from the true Cause\, with its effect the healing power of spiritual sight that brings release and healing to all. \nThe power that is inherent in Who and What we are has been squandered\, denied and given away to the gods and idols made as substitutes. These gods and idols are worshipped for the power they seem to have\, leaving us impotent against their effects. Once we are ready to accept back the power we have thrown away\, having invested it outside ourselves\, outside the mind\, that power is ours to undo all we made apart from God\, and accept that Truth alone is true. We are entitled to miracles simply because God is fact and all power lies in the reality of our relationship we have with Him. SUMMARY:A Rendezvous at the End of Time
DESCRIPTION:Meeting Your Self in an Instant of Reality \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA three-day weekend residential retreat experience with Simon Christopher. The inherent value of this spiritual mind-training programme lies in its purpose of healing the mind from the belief in time\, presenting a radical shift from time to the timeless\, a “holy instant” as a precursor of the eternal and the end of time. The belief in time is a foundation for separation and underpins all beliefs upon which the fearful ego thought system is based\, along with the experience as an individual body-mind existing in the space-time continuum.To be released from time is to free our minds to experience the reality of the eternal and the loving truth about our Selves and our Source. The mind is haunted by the past and habitually projects into the future and onto the present\, therefore the practice of relinquishing the past\, placing our future in the hands of God and training the mind to focus on the healing present is seminal to the success of students of A Course in Miracles.  \nForgiveness is the great release from time for it offers freedom from illusions to both the forgiver and the forgiven. It’s the miracle of an untouched\, unknown instant in which the mind is open to re-discover all that the belief in time had concealed. Each one must inevitably overcome all obstacles which arise as we make the journey inward into the present\, where we rediscover directly\, the quintessential holy truth about ourselves as the living Christ abiding in the Peace of God. \n\n\n\n\n\n“The present is before time was\, and will be when time is no more. In it are all things that are eternal\, and they are one.” ACIM Text 13.VI.6 \n\n\n\n\n\nThe miracle has a unique relationship with time and provides a means to shorten time by collapsing intervals within the “greater temporal order”\, in which the giver and receiver each come closer to the end of time. The miracle releases the mind from the past and transforms our perceptions to see beyond the ephemeral\, beyond space-time itself\, to the eternal in another. True forgiveness is a means to undo the false experience of linear time and bring the mind into a present focus on the timeless state in which eternity is recalled. In the timeless present\, the beginning of the appreciation of the eternal Self is found. Yet\, the conceptual burden of past learning\, memories\, judgment\, blame\, grievances\, anger… any unloving thought\, will bind us to the arrow of time and its inescapable consequences. The Course presents an entirely new way of thinking about time and teaches practices\, like the holy instant to re-focus the mind on the present\, the timeless\, overlooking appearances and the manifestations of guilt in time.  \nOur purpose is therefore to foster the saving of time in the inevitable realization of the timeless truth. Guilt is time\, separation and fear. Holiness is timeless\, corrective\, healing\, miraculous and always loving. Forgiveness undoes the guilt\, restoring the mind to its natural\, original and unaltered state of total innocence. The end of time lies in complete forgiveness\, for when the lesson of complete forgiveness is learnt and accepted and given without reservation\, there is no further need for time at all.As it is expressed in the Introdunction to chapter 13 of the Text\, the acceptance of guilt into the mind was the beginning of time\, just as the acceptance of the Atonement lesson is its ending. This means we must escape from guilt to escape from time.
