SUMMARY:The Call to Freedom
DESCRIPTION:What is freedom except to know your Self\, your will\, and to be the natural\, unrestricted expression of that Self?  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA three-day weekend experience on the essential teachings\, principles and practices of A Course in Miracles with Simon Christopher at the Ammerdown Centre\, Radstock\, near Bath in Somerset.  This is an invitation to join a joyfully focused in-person healing event for discovering the true meaning of freedom\, and to add your voice to its song of rejoicing.   \n\n\n\nFriday to Sunday\, February 20th to 22nd \n\n\n\nEach one yearns to find the freedom they have lost\, seeking in their own way for that hidden treasure. Is not freedom\, finally simply being yourself? To be yourself is to know your Self and your Source. Freedom lies in laying aside the little self-will and accepting the Will you share with God as all there is and all you want to be. \n\n\n\nFor the ego it is inherently difficult\, this act of surrender and acceptance in letting this be true\, for it is its whole undoing. Only in God\, the wholly unlimited\, can we find our Will and our freedom\, its creative and limitless power\, and its everlasting joy. Upon examination what is mistakenly called by freedom’s name is tinged with fear\, restrictive\, conditional or limited\, coming at great effort or cost. Freedom can be found only in the Eternal and unlimited nature of Mind untouched by the dark dream of sin\, fear and guilt. \n\n\n\n\n“And now the ego is afraid. Yet what it hears in terror\, the other part hears as the sweetest music; the song it longed to hear since first the ego came into your mind. The ego’s weakness is its strength. The song of freedom\, which sings the praises of another world\, brings to it hope of peace. For it remembers Heaven\, and now it sees that Heaven has come to earth at last\, from which the ego’s rule has kept it out so long. Heaven has come because it found a home in your relationship on earth. And earth can hold no longer what has been given Heaven as its own.“ACIM Text 21.IV.7 \n\n\n\n\nFreedom is a state that pre-exists the state of separation\, before the body\, before the choice to identify with the ego. The way back to that state lies in the plan set forth in the mind-training curriculum of A Course in Miracles. Spirit is ever free\, yet the mind has lost its way in ever tightening circles of defense against reality. \n\n\n\nThis Course has come to save time by offering a plan to follow\, established through the accomplishment of the resurrection. The means of undoing the bondage to illusions and the love of sacrifice\, in the mind\, is provided unambiguously. Many practices are offered to bring about experience in which to place our faith and step forward\, away from the imprisonment of our wills\, towards the light and our freedom and release. \n\n\n\nIn this place\, at this time we unite in a single desire to examine the dilemma of being created free yet knowing only an objective prison in which we live and die. Here we will look at the meaning of freedom and reason will help guide us to see the way to its re-discovery through undoing and acceptance. \n\n\n\nWe will no longer fear our Will but see that in it lies our freedom from the illusions we held ourselves subject to. For if we remain bound there is no freedom to be found. Yet in the holy instant\, the timeless now\, we are free to change our mind about ourselves and to awaken the truth that we are free\, created in freedom\, eternally established there. Now we are free to be as God has willed His Son to be\, forever like Himself. And now the song of freedom is heard again around the universe\, the sound of the Eternal calling to Itself. \n\n\n\n\n“The miracle teaches you that you have chosen guiltlessness\, freedom and joy. Yet each holy instant contains our escape from illusions and freedom from suffering\, the unfortunate mis-identification with illusions as real brings. God’s peace and joy are ours in the unlimited nature of the reality of our true identity in Christ. This knowledge is our salvation from continuing dreams\, awakening the certainty of Spirit as the immortal nature of the One Self. \n\n\n\n\n“The body is a tiny fence around a little part of a glorious and complete idea.  It draws a circle\, infinitely small\, around a very little segment of Heaven\, splintered from the whole\, proclaiming that within it is your kingdom\, where God can enter not.” ACIM T.18.VIII.2 \n\n\n\n\nBeyond the body is the resurrection and the reality of immortal life. It is not found in anything that can be perceived\, or conceived of. Yet the reality of the Self that is not divided\, separated and bounded by a wall of flesh\, is your divine inheritance. It can be known by all who desire to go beyond the petty ways of the world of bodies\, limitations\, suffering and death. Now is the time of awakening as we seek to see the light beyond the body\, to reach out and experience the holy truth of this instant of release. For all those who would arise in Christ\, their lessons of forgiveness teach the mind directly about the mind. It has suffered for so long having identified with what can suffer\, the limited and ephemeral\, and with the world which upholds the laws of the body.  \n\n\n\nWhen asked by the Scribe of the Course about the resurrection\, Jesus answered\, “my body disappeared because I no longer held any illusions about it.” So\, for the individual aspirant\, the student of miracles\, it would be perfectly fair to state that the purpose of the plan of salvation is to relinquish the belief the body has any value or existence. In effect it takes great learning (“unlearning”) to understand and to accept the body’s nothingness. In this lesson lies the separation of our minds from the fundamental illusion on which the ego rests. It’s the lesson that removes the fear of redemption and clears the way to approach the innermost altar to holiness where the Father and the Son are one in perfect union with Creation. \n\n\n\n\n“The body is outside you\, and but seems to surround you\, shutting you off from others and keeping you apart from them\, and them from you. It is not there. There is no barrier between God and His Son\, nor can His Son be separated from Himself except in illusions. DESCRIPTION:A weekend group experience on the essential teachings\, principles and practice of A Course in Miracles\, in a joyfully focused healing sanctuary for awakening the awareness of the living Christ in you. With Simon Christopher in Ealing\, West London. \nSaturday & Sunday\, November 1st & 2nd – 10:00am to 5:30pm daily. \nThe peace of God is our one goal\, our purpose and function\, the aim of all our efforts and the end we seek. God’s peace is already ours yet is veiled behind false beliefs which are cherished in its place. Now is the time in which we determine\, through realisation\, understanding and acceptance\, that there is no peace to be found anywhere except we look within and lay down our defenses to the great peace that shines with perfect constancy within.  \nThe obstacles to the knowledge of God’s peace are all overcome in the same way. We learn to see the obstacles for what they are as guardians against the Truth.  A conscious decision can then be made to accept the Help we need to choose the conditions in which peace comes of itself because we have done nothing to keep it away. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Deny me not the little gift I ask\, when in exchange I lay before your feet the peace of God\, and power to bring this peace to everyone who wanders in the world uncertain\, lonely\, and in constant fear.“ACIM T.3.VIII.7 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPeace is the condition in which knowledge of God is remembered. Therefore this is a course in choosing peace\, choosing over and over in all temptations to feel upset\, to attack\, condemn or see oneself as attacked. Peace must be a total choice because the choice against peace has already been established in the mind and now we choose again. First we remove the cause of conflict and upset\, then the dream becomes free of upset. \nPeace and serenity\, along with power and holiness become the experience while the dream still seems to have reality. Finally the dream is transformed to reveal what lies beyond as illusions give way to truth. This is our journey without distance in our return to the holy state of oneness\, in which no illusions can appear that could be seen to stand before the light of Heaven and our eternal reality in God. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“You who are part of God are not at home except in His peace.
