SUMMARY:Awakening to the Light – Retreat
DESCRIPTION:A 9-day residential retreat experience with Simon Christopher at the Centre for Discovering A Course in Miracles\, Ontinyent (Valencia) Spain. \n\n\n\nAwakening to the light is the great spiritual undertaking of each and every individual. The light of our reality has been obscured and even though it continues without interruption\, the split mind of human consciousness\, which we call ego\, is a contrived mechanism for the denial of the light. More than that\, it is heavily invested in illusions and the belief in the false conditionality of separation. \n\n\n\nFaith\, belief and desire uphold perception of an alternative “virtual reality” and continually direct the mind towards emptiness and oblivion. – “To be told that what you do not see is there sounds like insanity. It is very difficult to become convinced that it is insanity not to see what is there\, and to see what is not there instead.”  – ACIM W-91.3 – Miracles are seen in light. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“When the light comes and you have said\, “God’s Will is mine\,” you will see such beauty that you will know it is not of you. Out of your joy you will create beauty in His Name\, for your joy could no more be contained than His. To that end we will be examining and illuminating the curriculum teachings from Chapter 19\, including the Obstacles to Peace. Without fear of God\, the light of the eternal\, we would leap into Heaven and leave all illusions behind. Therefore there is great benefit in understanding the fear of redemption so that it is recognised for what it is. The way will open up as the fear dissipates by looking directly at it. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“The Son of God cannot hide his glory\, for God wills him to be glorious\, and gave him the light that shines in him. You will never lose your way\, for God leads you. When you wander\, you but undertake a journey that is not real. The dark companions\, the dark way\, are all illusions.
