Tolerance

Tolerance – “the attitude of someone who is willing to accept someone else’s beliefs, way of life etc without criticizing them even if they disagree with them.” Macmillan Dictionary.

God’s teachers have learnt to be tolerant of all who they meet, regardless of any differences in ideas, culture, religion, politics or sexuality, age difference etc. They have accepted the lesson that judgment is tremendously harmful to the appreciation of others and completely destroys our ability to discern the truth.

  • Judgment without self-deception is impossible… Without judgment are all things equally acceptable, for who could judge otherwise? Without judgment are all men brothers, for who is there who stands apart? Judgment destroys honesty and shatters trust. No teacher of God can judge and hope to learn.”   M-4.III.1

  • “He [gives] himself to Him Whose judgment he has chosen now to trust, instead of his own. Now he makes no mistakes. His Guide is sure. And where he came to judge, he comes to bless.”  M-10.5
